Getting there

The “La Foresta di Fontespugna” Hostel is 5 km from Castel Rigone (near Perugia). It lies at the end of an unpaved private road (1.8 km) that leads downward from the provincial road connecting Castel Rigone to Umbertide. The turn-off from the road for the “Ostello La Foresta di Fontespugna” is well marked.
Coming from Castel Rigone, the turn-off is on the left approximately 300 m after the intersection for Perugia and Mantignana. Coming from Umbertide or Preggio, the unpaved road is on the right approximately 500 m after a large group of pine trees.
Castel Rigone can be reached by the highway that links Perugia to the A1 Autostrada (Exit Val di Chiana, Bettolle, Sinalunga). Coming from Val di Chiana, the exit is Passignano Est; coming from Perugia the exit is Magione.
